Mardi Gras – Pancake Day por los Refugiados

Compartir

Yesterday February 13th, we celebrated Pancake Day or Mardi Gras, as our French colleagues call it.  It was a charitable activity to raise money for refugees. The money collected will be sent to Save the Children.

Early in the morning, a bunch of teachers prepared delicious pancakes and American pancakes for some 200 people. At breaktime, a swarm of hungry students ran towards a stall placed in the main hall and tried the delicious food served by a group of 1º BTO students who are participating in the e-Twinning project Welcome Refugees.

During period 5, a pancake race was organised for 2º ESO students, although some brave teachers also took part in it. We all had plenty of fun. The group formed by Olmo, Óscar, José E. y Adrián from 2º D won the race and got a small prize.

We’d like to thank all those teachers who helped with the activity, as well as all the students  who had bought tickets for the pancakes.
